Adventure Thru the Walt Disney Archives

For over 50 years, The Walt Disney Archives has been preserving everything that makes the Walt Disney Company the cultural establishment it is today. From the classic films and TV shows we all know and love, to the theme parks that fill our hearts with everlasting memories, Adventure Thru the Walt Disney Archives pulls back the curtain and invites the broader public into a world of beloved characters, priceless collectables, and of course, Disney magic.

Directed by John Gleim, the film follows our host, legendary producer Don Hahn, as he takes us on a tour through the nooks and crannies of places and memorabilia, each a snippet of Disney’s intrinsic DNA that has been woven over decades. Don explores some of the history, and engages with key people committed to preserving the rich heritage of this American institution, all while making his way to his ultimate destination, Walt’s recently refurbished original office on the Disney lot.

Pepper Tree Post played a pivotal role in bringing this gem to Disney+. Due to its historical nature, the movie draws on a variety of sources, from pictures to old award ceremonies only found on VHS to modern day footage of Don and the cast of people he interviews. Making it all work as a cohesive piece, while keeping the mood bright and cheerful, was a challenge, but one PTP was all too happy to accept.

Adventure Thru the Walt Disney Archives streams on Disney+ November 19th.
